Skybound Islands: First Kin is a living sci-fi survival and civilisation game where you guide Vox, an intelligent alien survivor stranded after his spacecraft crashes on a mysterious island; unlike a traditional survival game, the world is designed to grow with him from a primitive camp into an advanced civilisation whose choices, resources, discoveries and species can matter generations later.
The current foundation already centres on a persistent 3D island, Vox as an autonomous character with needs, awareness, movement, speech, memory and a downloadable local AI brain, real-world time and optional local weather, native creatures such as Slurps and Hoppers, finite populations, natural animal behaviour, sleep/dream behaviour, player-name memory, and a world designed around permanent consequences rather than endlessly respawning resources.
The bigger progression is Survival → Settlement → Farming → Animal Care → Genetics → New Species → Technology Recovery → Manufacturing → Civilisation → Space Expansion: Vox will gather finite resources, build shelters and farms, preserve endangered DNA, recover technology piece-by-piece from the visibly dismantled wreck, create the Barret crop, raise Blippings, build a genetics laboratory, combine his DNA with island species to create new hybrid life, grow a population, develop factories and manufacture increasingly advanced materials.
Ultimately the goal is far larger than surviving one island: Vox is rebuilding what was lost, creating an entirely new people and technological society, and eventually constructing a spacecraft capable of carrying the population, preserved genetics and accumulated technology to a larger world where the civilisation can continue expanding — giving First Kin an intentionally open-ended future rather than a fixed final level.
